You may have noticed we released a range of Harry Potter inspired party printables that we named Wonderful Wizardry.
And I have to admit….I have never, not once, not ever read a book, or watched a movie based on the fictional character that made J.K. Rowling so famous. (Don’t hate me.)
Yup - never. So when Sarah-Jane from The Polka Dot Apple suggested we do a new range based on Harry for our classroom party decor range (think book week decorations teachers!), I was a little scared to admit that I have never indulged in the wizard wonder that is HP.
I had to Google the characters and the names of them. I Googled the colours and learned about the Houses (with help from Sarah-Jane - who is a little obsessed) and we had a giggle together when my lack of knowledge on the subject came to light.
In any case - I designed the range based on what SJ told me, and my Google searches.
I am still not inspired to jump on the HP bandwagon just yet (still don’t hate me), however I 100% admire the phenomenon that has been created world wide that has ignited imaginations of young and old, along with a new found love of reading in a whole generation of children. And more generations to come. And in my opinion, that’s a great thing.
