You know what’s scary? (HINT - it’s not Halloween).
Okay okay maybe Halloween is a little scary, BUT - what’s more scary is how quick time goes.
Today marks my youngest finishing school (Yay!) and I am so happy for her and her friends to start the next chapter of life, but geez...it has gone way too quick.
You read all the articles that say 'enjoy them when they’re little' and you think ‘yeah right’ as you pick up the toys and are so dead tired from being awake all night that you can barely function.
And then all of a sudden they are young adults, finishing school and growing up and you wonder if you’ve done enough. Enough loving, caring, teaching them how to do life. Enough of all the things. Enough hugs, enough laughter, enough experiences and lessons.
So I say, for now - Enjoy the trick or treating, enjoy the dress ups, enjoy the sugar highs and lows, and enjoy hiding the candy and making an excuse at to it’s whereabouts so you can stop them asking for it.
Cause time does go gosh darn quick.
